Aseptic packaging material from Greatview’s German factory 100% FSC™ certified
Greatview Aseptic Packaging, the world’s leading alternative supplier of aseptic carton packaging material to the beverage and dairy industries, today announced that 100% of the paperboard purchased for the production at its factory in Halle, Germany, is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC™). This is another milestone in Greatview’s effort in the area of sustainable production.
FSC™ is one of the leading global non-profit organizations for the promotion of responsible management of the world's forests and its certification ensures that certified products adhere to its strict sustainability guidelines along the whole chain of custody (COC). Greatview first began sustainable fibre sourcing back in 2009 and won COC certifications of all three major global sustainable forest management systems – PEFC™, SFI™ and FSC™ – in 2010. Today, all Greatview factories are FSC™ certified along the whole COC.
With the expansion of the certification to the entire supply of paperboard used in Halle, Germany, Greatview takes yet another step in its endeavour for a wholly sustainable supply chain. Globally, more than 70% of the paperboard used at Greatview factories comes from certified, sustainably managed forests, making the company an industry leader in sustainable sourcing.
